Come out, come out whoever you are...

Who are all these mysterious people that are reading my blog but not posting comments?  I am going to take a moment to give a genuine Thank you to all of those who post comments on a regular basis.  You know who you are.  I am always so interested in who is reading about our family and I get equally frustrated when I check my cluster map and see that the number of people who have visited my blog on any given day is often 5 times the number that have actually left a comment.

Are people just too busy to say "I was here, I read your blog"?  I know that the people who comment time and time again are doing so in order to just let me know that they are reading and because they are my friends and it's a way of keeping in touch even though we aren't actually speaking.  No need for incredible insights of witty retorts, though those are welcome as well.

I just like to know who's taking a peek at what's going on with the Allen's.  The most fun is when people you didn't know were reading leave a comment, I was pleasantly surprised to get comments from two good friends (Audrey and Danielle) lately. So, FYI, I love it when people leave comments---and they don't have to be long---truly, an "I was here" every once and a while will do.

Danke.

Bracken, when can I go to your house? I miss you. When I get to your house we will go bike riding. Which room does Abbie live in? I mean go to sleep in. Come to Uncle Josh's mission farewell, because I miss playing with you. Grandfather's house is more fun when you are there to play with. That's it. Love, David Andrew Benjamin Burton

You know I'm always here...and loving the life of the Allen's. I just wish it hadn't been so long since I've seen you.

I make comments. Right? It's maybe been awhile though, you're right.

I love you and your blog. How great it was for you to come to Jessie's shower. You are a good mom and sister. We can't wait to see you for a little longer when Brody is born.

The look in Santa's eyes say it all "I hate my job!" haha jk. But his look goes from fine and dandy to certainly more freaked out when Ruby starts to lose it. It was fun seeing you last week! Can't wait to see you soon. Have an AMAZING time on your trip! Maybe when you get back into town my blog will be updated...HA!

Hi--I come here regularly--you can thank GiGi for passing along the site ;-). First of all, you are INCREDIBLE! I am in awe of you managing 4 little ones every single day. I have a hard enough time being patient with my two who are now 6 1/2 and 5 (can you believe it? Gevvie is 5???). Second, you are wonderfully funny. Your comments and observations about the kids and their antics are great. It has helped me bring my kids activities more into perspective. I'm really trying to have more fun, really! And, I don't feel like I'm the only mom going through this an my kids are the only little rascals. Finally--how do you find the time to write? I barely have time to go potty! Anyway, thank you, thank you, thank you for writing--it helps me too! And, finally, finally, I'd like to thank you b/c now I go to your sister's site which is also very, very funny. You guys truly have a gift. Alexis!
